I'm an illustrator and author of children's books. Some of my books include The Terrible Plop, written by Ursula Dubosarsky, and the Boris series, about a young warthog and his adventures in the town of Hogg Bay. I live on the edge of the Adelaide Hills in South Australia. I like vinyl records, midday movies and slim volumes of poetry.

Would you like to ask me a question? Or maybe just say hello? Well, you can do that right here.

The Twittering Machine

Here's a blueprint I drew as a prop for a friend's performance piece.  The friend is Greg Cousins, aka Wingas. The piece is The Twittering Machine.  It's a marvellous Rube Goldberg / Heath Robinson-like contraption that Greg has transformed into a neat little performance.  It ran during the Adelaide Fringe to universal delight.  I'll let you know when it's next being staged, but in the meantime here's a little video.  Enjoy!

Great stuff - I have a treasured old falling-apart book of W Heath Robinson, it's good to see the spirit lives on! Didn't Paul Klee do a painting called Twittering Machine?

Thanks Gay! Yes, there is a Klee painting called The Twittering Machine. In fact, I think that was Greg's initial inspiration.
